Bikes, Beers, & Bees

This weekend marked the second annual Tour de Brewtah, and my first lesson in biking 20+ miles on my beach cruiser, getting stuck behind a train, & braving the Jordan Parkway all on a bike. All in all it was an awesome day filled with good weather, friends, beverages, and of course baseball! We joined over 450 people for a day of biking & drinking in support of some of Salt Lake’s best charities. Then finished off the night taking in one of our favorite summer events…the Bees! What more could a girl ask for out of her Saturday?! Here is a small taste of our Saturday biking adventure… Hope you all had a fabulous...

It’s a Dogs Life

Came home from Yoga this evening to this wonderful image. What makes it even more wonderful is the fact that starting Monday Ian boycotted Bozley from our bed. When I walked in & found Bozley resting his head on a fallen pillow it was like a teenage kid giving his dad the finger! I’m not going to lie it made me smile and gave me a small glimpse into our...

What’s Poofy, Pink, & Covered in Lace?

What’s Poofy, Pink, & Covered in Lace?

You guessed it….the bridesmaid dresses arrived today! Minus the poof, pink, and lace of course! I had lost all hope when the original dress I had chosen for my best of friends was going to be far to expensive to be made, since of course I feel in love with a black dress when I needed navy! But then I found this little BB Dakota gem and was beyond excited….no boring navy dress…YAYA! Upon trying it on 2 minor issues: 1) It’s a little short for my tall gorgeous 5’9 friend Abbie 2) My dearest friend Kristyn has way better boobs then me so fingers crossed they fit! Take a look at the dress for yourself but keep in mind my friends are all hotties so think of what it looks like times...

Pies Lots O’ Pies

Pies Lots O’ Pies

A) I hate cake. B) Since ice-cream in August isn’t an option I’m rather impartial to the whole dessert thing. C) I need a dessert option that gives a variety and isn’t your run of the mill brownie, cookie assortment. That’s where the pies come into play! I have this vision of cute little individual pies served in Mason jars. A variety of flavors with labels such as “Grammy Fosters Blueberry Pie” and “Aunt Carol’s Famous Pecan Pie”….so tonight we bake…we freeze them…and then we...

Project Don’t Burn The Woods Down

Project Don’t Burn The Woods Down

Goal: Visually guide guests through the woods from point A to ceremony location without burning the forrest down. Project String Lanterns started this afternoon. A quick trip to Wally-World for the following supplies and it was on! 3 extra huge rolls of cotton yarn 6 bottles of Elmer’s 1 bottle of vassaline (in retrospect I could of used PAM& it would have been way easier then lubing every balloon) 1 bottle cornstarch 2 bags of balloons Lessons Learned: 1. This is not a one person job. 2. Bridesmaids might be a better option when your enlisting someone to play in glue and cornstarch all day as unlike your fiancé they may be more excited/willing/not think your crazy. However, I have to give it to Ian as he was a straight trooper with this task as it’s a rather messy one! 3. If u wrap the string all the way to the top you end up with a bunch of egg looking lanterns, oops! All in all I think the string lanterns came out better than expected and will look great acting as a canopy for guests to walk under on their way to the...

Succulently Obsessed

I’m coming to terms with my succulent obsession. Lately I find myself fully engulfed in the search for the perfect succulents…it’s like Frye boots, or a new red lipstick….instantly love…too many gorgeous options to choose from…and too many ideas on how showcase them.
